Ubisoft replies to Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag remake leak with GTA meme
Ubisoft appeared to acknowledge mounting leaks about an Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag remake by replying to a recent collectible leak with a Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas meme posted from the series’ official account.
The latest leak centered on an Edward Kenway figure reportedly tied to the new version of Black Flag that began circulating online and rapidly spread across the Assassin’s Creed fandom on Twitter.
The figure first appeared on Vinted, where content creator Ubicypher contacted the seller and received apparent proof it was made by PureArts. The listing reportedly sold for about €400 (around $480 USD) and is no longer available online.
The official account responded with a screenshot of CJ’s line from the opening of GTA: San Andreas — "ah shit, here we go again" — a cheeky acknowledgement amid the rumors.
Rumors have suggested a release under the name Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced was due soon, but the remake was reportedly among delays tied to Ubisoft’s so-called "major reset," and it remains unclear when the project will actually launch.
