Unforgettable Grammys 2026 looks: feathers, corsetry and political pins
At the 68th annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, The Styles Desk compiled 17 memorable red‑carpet looks at the ceremony on Feb. 1, 2026, ranging from feathered gowns and sequined suits to beading and nudity. In the days before the awards, artists including Lady Gaga (a nominee and performer) and Bruce Springsteen delivered critical statements, both sung and spoken, about deadly federal immigration raids in America, and other nominated artists such as Bad Bunny and Billie Eilish had publicly criticized the Trump administration, prompting questions about how attendees might use the red carpet and stage for expression.
Joni Mitchell wore a white button reading “ICE OUT” while collecting a trophy given out before the televised ceremony, and others — including Billie Eilish, Justin and Hailey Bieber, Brandi Carlile and Justin Vernon of Bon Iver — also wore the pins on the red carpet, the report says.
The Styles Desk identified recurring style elements including feathers, beading and what the piece described as increasing nudity. Among the 17 looks it highlighted: Bad Bunny in a velvet Schiaparelli suit that revealed an hourglass shape through corsetry lacing down the jacket’s back; Olivia Dean in a Chanel ball gown with black feathers at the waist; and Doechii in a Roberto Cavalli gown with an enormous aubergine train that she said was inspired by the designer’s late 1990s and early 2000s collections.
