'Untamed' Season 2 Plot Details Revealed by Netflix

Netflix's crime thriller Untamed returns for a second season with Eric Bana back as Kyle Turner. Initially marketed as a limited series, the show shifts its investigation to Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park, where Turner will probe another mysterious death amid volatile volcanoes and local tensions.

Co-creators and executive producers Mark L. Smith and Elle Smith say the new setting allows the series to explore a different park's cultural and geographical identity and to find Turner in a new state of mind outside the comfort of Yosemite. Untamed Season 2 is now in production in Hawaii.

The season opens with a time jump: the story takes place a year and a half after Turner left Yosemite, with the character having visited many parks and taken on numerous cases since. The park's volatility is intended to mirror Turner’s evolving mindset. Turner continues to grieve the death of his son, and Season 2 will again depict the sadness and grief present in the first outing.
