Vantor archive imagery added to Satellite Data Explorer
The Commercial Satellite Data Acquisition Program has added imagery from Vantor’s Legion satellites to the Satellite Data Explorer (SDX). The data come from Vantor’s 125-plus petabyte archive, with records dating back to 1999, and include a mix of panchromatic and color imagery (up to 18 multispectral bands) with global coverage at resolutions up to 30 cm.
Three product levels are available in SDX: System-Ready Level 1B for users who want full bands and bit depth to apply their own processing; View-Ready Level 2A, orthorectified against a coarse digital elevation model for direct use in downstream analytics; and Map-Ready 3-D, a radiometrically calibrated, orthorectified and geo-rectified product suited for seamless integration, accurate mapping, and image viewing.
Vantor’s Legion constellation provides 8-band visible and near-infrared multispectral imagery at up to 30-centimeter resolution for applications such as agriculture, natural resources monitoring, disaster response, and environmental surveillance.
