Verizon offers free Samsung tablet or 43-inch TV with home internet sign-up
Verizon is offering new customers of its 1 Gig and 2 Gig home internet plans a choice of a free Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE 5G, a free 43-inch Q7F QLED TV, or a $15 monthly credit for 36 months if they sign up from now until Feb. 4, the carrier said. The tablet or TV gift is available with the purchase of either a 1 Gig or 2 Gig plan, which ZDNET says will cost between $75–$90 per month and $95–$110 per month, respectively.
ZDNET reported the 1 Gig plan offers download and upload speeds of up to 940 Mbps and supports up to 50 devices, while the 2 Gig plan offers download and upload speeds of up to 2.3 Gbps and supports up to 100 devices. Both plans include a free router, Whole-Home Wi‑Fi, and come with a five-year price lock guarantee.
ZDNET noted the freebies are available whether or not customers already have Verizon mobile service; existing Verizon mobile customers also save $15 a month on the internet plan. The outlet said the standard prices of $90 for 1 Gig and $110 for 2 Gig can be lowered by $15 for Verizon mobile customers, bringing them to $75 and $95 per month.
ZDNET reviewers described the Galaxy Tab S10 FE as a 10.9-inch tablet that includes the S Pen, a CPU speed up to 2.9 GHz, a 2304 x 1440 resolution display, UHD 4K video recording at 30 fps, a front and rear camera, 12 GB memory and 256 GB storage. ZDNET's review noted the 43-inch Q7F QLED TV includes integrated voice controls, 4K upscaling, Bluetooth connectivity and integrated Samsung Knox security.
