A Baldur's Gate 3 adaptation for television is underway, and Larian director Swen Vincke says the game's multiple routes and finales leave plenty of directions the show could take.

"The endings of BG3 were created so they could serve as narrative soil for new adventures," Vincke says. He adds he does not yet know which paths the televised series will follow but is "eager to find out which ones" Craig Mazin — who previously directed The Last of Us and is now heading the adaptation — will pick. Mazin has reached out for a chat so Larian can share its thoughts.

Vincke also noted the studio worked hard to make Baldur's Gate 3 "worthy of its legacy," and expressed hope for Larian's other projects, writing, "Crossing fingers that the story we're cooking up for Divinity will eventually grow to the same heights," adding the team is "certainly putting in the hours."
