Virtuix Omni One joins Made for Meta, becoming Quest-compatible — Gamesradar

Virtuix's Omni One VR treadmill has joined the Made for Meta program, paving the way for official compatibility with Meta Quest headsets, including the standalone Quest 3 and Quest 3S. The device, a project that grew from a proof of concept over the last decade, straps a player into a harness, pairs with a headset and special slippers, and aims to let you walk and run through virtual environments as you would in real life.

Virtuix went public shortly before the Meta deal and is now trading on Nasdaq. CEO Jan Goetgeluk said the company sees a “dual-use” strategy, adding: “Looking ahead, we believe our ‘dual-use’ strategy of supplementing high-volume consumer sales with high-margin defense contracts positions us for achieving continued growth and creating long-term value for our shareholders.” On the partnership with Meta he added, “Joining the Made for Meta program expands our addressable market to millions of active Quest users who already own and love their VR headset and games library.
