Warner Bros. has pushed Clayface, the third DCU film following Superman and Supergirl, back by one month. The film will now open in theaters on Oct. 23, 2026, taking the date originally set for the M. Night Shyamalan and Nicholas Sparks collaboration Remain, which has been moved to February 2027.

The change frees a pre‑Halloween weekend for the DCU horror picture, which stars Tom Rhys Harries. Clayface will focus on Matt Hagen, the second comic incarnation of the villain, while drawing on the backstory of the original Basil Karlo as an actor whose body is transformed into a monstrous, clay‑like substance.

James Watkins is directing from a script by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini based on a pitch from Flanagan. James Gunn and Peter Safran are producing, and the film is set in the DCU; a version of Clayface previously appeared in the animated series Creature Commandos.
