West Ham have made space for potential loan moves for Tottenham’s Antonin Kinsky and Chelsea’s Axel Disasi by cutting short Igor Julio’s season-long loan and sending him back to Brighton, the club has confirmed. Manager Nuno Espírito Santo has already strengthened his attack by signing Taty Castellanos and Pablo Felipe in a package worth up to £47m and is now looking to add a goalkeeper and a defender.

The east London club are targeting short-term deals and terminated Igor’s loan early to create the necessary leeway. West Ham have inquired about Kinsky, who joined Spurs from Slavia Prague last year, and would like the 22-year-old on loan with an option to buy. The report says Kinsky wants regular football and it is unclear whether he would dislodge Alphonse Areola; he is currently backup to Guglielmo Vicario at Spurs.

The club would also need to resolve issues around their current No 2, Mads Hermansen, who has struggled since joining from Leicester last summer. Nuno has said he wants to rebalance the squad and West Ham have not kept a clean sheet since August. They are looking at a loan for Disasi, who has not played for Chelsea this season and is understood to be up for sale.

West Ham have also agreed a deal to sign Adama Traoré from Fulham on an initial six-month contract to provide cover for Jarrod Bowen and Crysencio Summerville.
