When Overwatch season 1 and five new heroes arrive
Overwatch has been rebranded back to its original name and will run annual seasons built around an ongoing story, with a new season 1 arriving each year. Overwatch season 1 and the five new heroes go live on Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 11 a.m. PST — 2 p.m. EST, 4 p.m.
BRT, 7 p.m. GMT, 8 p.m. CET on Feb. 10, and 4 a.m. JST / 5 a.m. AEDT on Feb. 11. The update launches five heroes: Domina (tank), Anran (damage), Emre (damage), Mizuki (support) and Jetpack Cat (support). Some of the additions could shift the meta. Anran’s secondary fire increases damage to burning enemies, which pairs well with heroes such as Ashe or Mauga, and her hero trial runs until 10:59 a.m.
PST on Feb. 10, allowing selection in training mode. Jetpack Cat can remain airborne permanently and drag allies and enemies around, a design that might shatter the meta entirely.
