Where to find every Pal in Terraria 1.4.5 — Cattiva, Foxparks, Chillet, Digtoise

After a 2025 Palworld crossover, pals arrived in Terraria with the 1.4.5 Bigger and Boulder update: Cattiva, Foxparks, Chillet, and Digtoise. Some are notably tricky to find, and the author only managed to get them reliably after generating fresh 1.4.5 worlds. All four pals were found pre-hardmode in small and medium new worlds running vanilla Terraria.

Cattiva and Foxparks spawn on the surface (outer thirds of the map) in forest or jungle biomes, while Chillet and Digtoise appear underground, sometimes as deep as the cavern layer or in the underground desert. Cattiva and Foxparks have consistently appeared during goblin encounters, effectively being held by goblins on the surface; they showed up after triggering the Goblin Army in the author’s testing.

Daytime, no rain, and a Lifeform Analyzer to detect Goblin Scouts helped locate them, and using a Water Candle or Battle Potion can increase spawn rates. Defeat the goblins quickly to free the pals. Chillet was found in the cavern layer as an egg you must pick up and right-click to unlock (the author only saw the blue Chillet, though other players report a 50/50 chance for Ignis Chillet).

Digtoise spawned in the underground desert; a Metal Detector and a Spelunker Potion make locating the pal’s shell much easier.
