Who is Seahawks QB Sam Darnold's fiancée Katie Hoofnagle?

As the Seattle Seahawks prepare to take on the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 2026, attention has been on quarterback Sam Darnold and his fiancée, Katie Hoofnagle. After the team’s NFC championship win over the Los Angeles Rams on Jan. 25, Hoofnagle joined Darnold on the field for a celebratory kiss that NFL cameras captured.

Before the kiss she said, "I love you," and Darnold replied, "We did that." The couple went public on Instagram in April 2023, and Hoofnagle began sharing photos from the sidelines of Darnold’s games and snapshots of their dates. They made their red carpet debut at the 2025 NFL Honors in February, where she wore a shimmering silver gown alongside his classic black suit.

Darnold proposed in Dana Point, Calif., in July 2025; Hoofnagle captioned portraits from the proposal, "YES!!!!! The best day ever. Here’s to forever together." Hoofnagle graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2020 with a degree in marketing and a minor in nutrition.
