Why Oura Rings joined Team USA's Olympic gear list

Oura is the official wearable of Team USA and the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Athletes will wear Oura Rings to track their health, and the partnership makes Oura the team's exclusive provider of health-tracking wearables while including a research collaboration to investigate performance and support athlete success.

Oura has pursued similar partnerships, including work with the Department of Defense to study human potential. Since 2024 the company has supported several Team USA National Governing Bodies, including US Ski & Snowboard, USA Hockey, US Speed Skating, and Women's Soccer.

These collaborations let Oura probe how sleep, activity, diet and recovery connect and affect performance. In 2025 the company studied sleep therapy, recovery, and the US Speed Skating and Women's Soccer teams' ability to sustain peak performance, and past studies have led to new features.
