'Wicked: For Good' Sets Netflix Streaming Release Date
Wicked: For Good will arrive on Netflix in the U.S. on Jul. 20, 2026. The film previously hit digital platforms in December and is scheduled to premiere on Peacock on Mar. 20, 2026, with a sing-along version and bonus content.
Under the licensing agreement between Universal Pictures and Netflix, the Netflix release comes exactly four months after the Peacock debut. The sequel will remain on Netflix for ten months through May 2027, after which it will return to Peacock.
Jon M. Chu directed the final chapter of Elphaba and Glinda's story, which opened Nov. 21, 2025 and runs 137 minutes. The cast includes Ariana Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba; writers credited are Winnie Holzman, Dana Fox and Gregory Maguire, with producers Marc Platt and David Stone.
