Will Trent Season 4 Brings Back Paul Campano in Its Best Episode Yet
After an intense two-parter, Will Trent returns to a quieter week that still delivers strong drama and comedy. The GBI investigates a murder that leads to a pair of serial killers, while the APD handles a lighter, skunk‑related case. The episode also brings back Paul Campano (Mark‑Paul Gosselaar), a former foster kid who grew up with Will and Angie, returning for the first time since Season 1.
Joelle Hornbaker is killed with a nail gun, and Paul—her neighbor and former lover—helps Will and Faith investigate, even producing a comically guilty drawing of a suspect. As Will digs into the case he slips into violent visions where he imagines himself as the killer and hears James Ulster urging him on.
The GBI connects Joelle’s death to a previous brutal beating and concludes both murders were carried out by two people.
