Winona Ryder co-stars in A$AP Rocky’s ‘Punk Rocky’ video
Nbc reports A$AP Rocky's new music video for his lead single "Punk Rocky" stars Winona Ryder. Rocky is set to perform as Saturday Night Live's musical guest on January 17, with Stranger Things actor Finn Wolfhard hosting 2026's first episode.
The surreal, self-referential video shows a neighborhood upended as Rocky parties with his alter egos and draws the attention of a neighbor played by Ryder, who appears in a flirty role. "Punk Rocky" is described as an indie rock/pop punk-tinged song; its parent album is Don't Be Dumb, and Rocky's SNL appearance comes one day after the album's release. Director Tim Burton created the album art, and composer Danny Elfman scored "a bunch" of the album's songs and appears as the drummer on the roof in the video.
Ryder recently wrapped a five-season, ten-year run on Stranger Things, in which Finn Wolfhard played the best friend of her character's son Will. She has a long history of music-video appearances dating to 1990. Whether Rocky is intentionally referencing Stranger Things is unclear; Rocky told Vanity Fair in November 2025 that he loves Tim Burton and cited The Nightmare Before Christmas as a favorite.
