Wizards unveils nine Commander preconstructed decks for Strixhaven and Marvel

Polygon reports that Wizards of the Coast introduced nine preconstructed Commander decks for April's Secrets of Strixhaven and June's Marvel Super Heroes at the Nuremberg Toy Fair on Jan. 27. The Marvel Super Heroes set includes four Commander decks: Avengers Assemble (white-blue-red) — Captain America and Nick Fury, with "grow your ranks" and "equipment and counters" as core mechanics; Wakanda Forever (white-green) — Black Panther, focused on powering up with artifacts and "reign as the Monarch"; The Fantastic Four (white-blue-red-green) — all four team members can play as the Commander in a deck emphasizing noncreature spells and protection fields; and Doom Prevails (blue-black-red) — Doctor Doom headlines with Loki as a presumable alternate Commander and "connive for power" and "drain life" noted as mechanics.

Secrets of Strixhaven will ship five two‑color Commander decks that represent each college: Lorehold Spirit (white-red) — Quintorius, creating and buffing Spirits from the graveyard; Prismari Artistry (blue-red) — Rootha, casting big spells and creating Elementals; Quandrix Unlimited (blue-green) — Zimone, flooding the board with fractals and hydras; Silverquill Influence (white-black) — Killian, using Auras and enchantments to force fights while drawing cards; and Witherbloom Pestilence (black-green) — Dina, making pests to sacrifice for life and card advantage.
