Blizzard said in its 'State of Azeroth' video released today that World of Warcraft's player housing will eventually gain mass-select, copy/paste and import/export tools for player creations. The current housing tools already let players kitbash, clip, rotate and scale dozens of decor pieces to build custom scenes, and Blizzard showed other planned additions such as letting pets run indoors or hitching 'a couple of your favourite mounts up in your yard outdoors.' Developer Ion Hazzikostas acknowledged a common frustration when complex builds need repositioning: 'We've also seen and heard that as you're expressing that boundless creativity, and maybe making something like, say, a grand piano that you've cobbled together from a dozen different decor pieces, it can be frustrating when you realise that you have your grand creation, but it's not quite in the spot you want it to be in.' To address that, Blizzard is working on a mass-select feature plus copy/paste for those selections, and a way to import and export designs.

Hazzikostas also said 'you're going to see decor budgets for both interior and exterior placement continue to increase,' citing technical limitations being sussed out and a desire to give players more progression in levelling their homes. 'All of this is just the ground floor for housing in World of Warcraft.
