WoW adds Labyrinths — massive solo 'mega-dungeons' arriving fall 2026
Blizzard revealed its World of Warcraft 2026 roadmap during a State of Azeroth stream, and one headline addition is Labyrinths: supersized, single-player mega-dungeons set to arrive in patch 12.1.5 in fall 2026. Labyrinths are described as a supersized version of delves, the soloable dungeons introduced in the last expansion The War Within.
Game director Ion Hazzikostas said they are inspired by "mega-dungeons," the sprawling, multi-winged multiplayer dungeons dating back to the original game's Dire Maul. The roadmap lays out a busy year for modern WoW after the Midnight expansion launches on March 3. Blizzard plans two minor spring updates that continue the Midnight storyline with escalating void assaults, add a hide-and-seek mode called Prop Hunt, and introduce a standalone single-boss raid as an experiment toward smaller, more frequent raid formats.
A larger 12.1 season-two patch in summer will bring a new zone, a raid, a dungeon, delves, and a housing update. Between BlizzCon in September and the end of the year, Blizzard expects to deliver Labyrinths, another raid, and a new standalone event mode from the live team behind Remix and Plunderstorm.
World of Warcraft Classic has a quieter slate: Anniversary servers will launch the Burning Crusade expansion in February with follow-up updates through the year, and Mists of Pandaria Classic will run through its concluding phases, ending with the Siege of Orgrimmar across spring and summer.
