WWE 2K26: CM Punk on cover, Ringside Pass replaces DLC and Switch 2 mouse support
WWE and 2K released the first details and images for WWE 2K26, due March 13, with CM Punk on the standard cover and a new Ringside Pass system replacing traditional DLC. The announcement also highlights Switch 2-specific features, including touchscreen and mouse support for the Creation Suite.
2K said the Ringside Pass will replace past DLC packs and include a free tier of 60 items plus a premium tier with an additional 40 items in the first pass. Speaking to Polygon, 2K explained there will be multiple passes over the game's lifecycle and none of them expire. A press release listed "superstars, cosmetic and customization items, VC, MyFaction and The Island content, and more" as rewards; the first pass will be available at launch.
The standard edition, retailing for $69.99, features CM Punk on the cover, more than 400 playable superstars, access to the Ringside Pass and a Joe Hendry pre-order bundle. Preorders on PS5, Xbox Series X and PC also include last year’s WWE 2K25 base game. Higher tiers — King of Kings ($99.99), Attitude Era ($129.99) and Monday Night Wars ($149.99) — add varying amounts of VC, multiple Ringside Pass seasons, early access on March 6 and extra playable legends and arenas as detailed by 2K.
New match types arriving in WWE 2K26 include Three Stages of Hell, the dumpster match, I Quit and the Inferno match. The Island returns with a new story and, for the first time, is available on all platforms.
