Yellow wins the Super Bowl Gatorade shower — again — Mashable

Yellow was the color dumped over the winning coach this year, making it the second consecutive Super Bowl in which yellow came out on top.

Betting on the postgame Gatorade dunk has become a common Super Bowl tradition as sports wagering and prop bets have spread across the U.S., with fans placing wagers on the hue of the fluorescent sports drink.

Odds varied by platform: on Polymarket blue had the most money behind it, while BetMGM favored orange at +225 and listed yellow, green/lime, and blue around +260. Last year’s winning color was also yellow at +250, even though purple was the favorite at +175 via DraftKings and the New York Post.

Some viewers were annoyed when the broadcast revealed the result before the final whistle, effectively spoiling the prop bet. Observers also noted that wagering now extends to far more serious events, including ongoing global conflicts, underscoring how normalized prop betting has become.
