Yellowjackets star says final season will stay true to season 1
Sophie Nélisse has hinted that the fourth and final season of Yellowjackets will stay true to the first season. She said there is a lot of pressure coming into this season and that the cast feels a responsibility to offer the audience a season that will live up to expectations, close out the show, and honor the earlier episodes.
She added it should be a really fun one and called the situation bittersweet. The series often uses a dual timeline, returning to past events as the older versions of the plane crash survivors — played by Melanie Lynskey, Lauren Ambrose, Juliette Lewis, Simone Kessell, Tawny Cypress, and Christina Ricci — work through deep-buried traumas.
So far the show has generally moved forward chronologically in both the 1990s and the 2020s as tensions escalate. Season 3 revealed that young Misty (Samantha Hanratty) destroyed the plane's emergency transponder back in season 1, episode 2, suggesting other long-hidden secrets may still surface.
