Yoshi joins The Super Mario Galaxy Movie as trailer previews cast and plot
Nbc reports that Mario, Luigi and their friends return in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie and a trailer released January 25 reveals that Yoshi will join the group.
The trailer sprinkles Easter eggs for longtime video game fans — including costumes changing color when characters use Fire Flowers — and shows the heroes traveling into outer space to battle Bowser Jr., who is determined to free his shrunken father and take over the universe.
The voice cast named in coverage includes Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Benny Safdie as Bowser Jr., Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek and Brie Larson as Rosalina; Rosalina first appeared in the 2007 Super Mario Galaxy Wii game and lives in the Comet Observatory.
Not much is known about Bowser Jr.'s role in the film, the report notes, and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie hits theaters everywhere on April 1, 2026.
