Zack Snyder posts Justice League 2 storyboards showing Superman burning Lex Luthor
Movieweb reports director Zack Snyder has shared clearer images of previously leaked Justice League 2 storyboards on his Instagram, including pages that depict Superman burning Lex Luthor and plans for a massive final battle. The posted pages—two of which were originally leaked years ago and reportedly removed by Warner Bros.—include handwritten scene descriptions.
One reads, "Back at the Batcave, Batman watches in horror as Darkseid takes full control of Superman. Superman turns on Batman and he barely escapes. Lex believes he's won, but comes face to face with Superman. He looks at Lex with burning red eyes – and lights him on fire. As Lex screams, the world goes red and …" The boards also describe a scene set half a decade later with the world under Darkseid's control and suggest a "Lord of the Rings-like finale" in which the Justice League and the people of Earth rise to battle Darkseid's invasion.
The resurfaced images have fueled ongoing fan discussion about Snyder's unmade continuation of the DCEU, though the article says the SnyderVerse is unlikely to return. It notes recent speculation tied to a potential Warner Bros.
