Zoe Saldaña becomes highest-grossing actor, thanks collaborators

Gamesradar reports Zoe Saldaña is officially the highest-grossing actor ever and has publicly thanked the directors behind her biggest franchise hits, including James Cameron and James Gunn.

She overtook her Avengers co-star Scarlett Johansson earlier this month after Avatar: Fire and Ash has made over $1.3 billion so far, which puts her total box office takings to almost $17 billion. In a video posted to her Instagram account over the weekend Saldaña said, "I just want to express my sincere gratitude for the extraordinary journey that has led me to become the highest-grossing film actor of all time today, an achievement made possible entirely by the incredible franchises and the collaborators that I have been fortunate to be a part of."

She also thanked collaborators and fans, saying, "Your faith, your guidance, and your vision, they shape not only these films but me as an artist. And to the fans around the world, thank you," and later adding that the achievement "belongs to all of us" and, "may the next recordbreaker be another woman!"
