Wagner Group Opens HQ In Russia l Sign Of Putin Ally Prigozhin’s Rising Stature Amid Ukraine War
The Wagner Group has opened its first official headquarters in Russia amid an increasingly prominent role in the Ukraine war. Sporting a big white "Wagner" sign, a glass tower in St. Petersburg was rebranded as the “PMC Wagner centre.” Yevgeny Prigozhin's, founder of Wagner group, described PMC Wagner centre "to provide a comfortable environment for generating new ideas to improve Russia's defence capability." The opening of the St. Petersburg office is a remarkable shift for Wagner from a secretive Kremlin asset to a mainstream militia.
