Russia’s Neighbour Georgia Is On Course To Become One Of The World’s Fastest Growing Economies
A small European nation, Georgia, is witnessing an unexpected economic boom amid the war in Ukraine. As per reports, Georgia is on course to become one of the world's fastest-growing economies this year. The country of 3.7 million people bordering the Black Sea is expected to record a 10% growth in economic output for 2022. Georgia’s projected growth would see its modest $19-billion economy outpace emerging markets such as Vietnam and oil exporters such as Kuwait. Ironically, Georgia’s economic boom is linked to the war started by its neighbour Russia against Ukraine. Georgia’s high economic growth is also coming at a time when much of the globe teeters toward recession.
