Recapturing Jerusalem led Columbus to discover Americas

Christopher Columbus was fanatic navigator who wanted to recapture Holy City from the Muslims. This led to him to discover western sea routes to reach India in order to manipulate Indian Ocean Sea Trades. Eventually making huge profit from indian trades armies would be raised to recapture Jerusalem. More than Trade Winds his luck led him to Caribbean sea and rest is history.
