I looked at several countertop ice makers for several months before finally deciding on this one. I absolutely LOVE the functionality... the ice is AWESOME. As an ice eater, I am addicted. Those bullets of ice are a dream! However, this is noisy. Someone with an Opal ice maker told me theirs was noisy as well, so maybe it's all countertop ice makers, but if noise is going to bother you, you probably don't want one. I have learned to live with it, but I'm not sure I'm used to it, even after a few months. I do think there is room for these products in general to improve in the future, but for what we have now, I am a fan overall!

UPDATE: Worked for 10 months, then quit pumping the water from the reservoir to make the ice. Have contacted the manufacturer for a warranty claim but so far they are not honoring the warranty because I’m unable to find a serial number anywhere, and they have yet to tell me where it’s located. Will update my review if/when the issue is resolved.
We use this in our master bedroom suite to have ice handy without having to walk down to the kitchen. It works great and is not so overly loud that it interferes with sleeping as long as we keep the water reservoir filled (otherwise it is a little annoying to hear it trying to pump water that isn’t there).

I like it. My first package was lost/stolen but Amazon sent a replacement. I turned it on last night around 11pm and left it on while we slept. I did have to scoop the cubes forward to allow the machine to make more. It does build up and makes the sensor think it’s full. But if you scoop it forward the way I did in the video then it’ll start making more. For some that might be annoying but it’s not big deal to me. The video shows the small size of the cubes. I put aluminum over the little window because light was hitting it and it just makes me feel like better haha. But it’s prob not needed of you put it in a shady spot. (Manual does say to place in area away from light)
Overall I like it (but I’ve just had it one day) love the color and look. Unless it breaks down I’m keeping it

We got this to replace our last ice maker (Frigidaire/Igloo ICE103) which we used a lot over the last 4 years -- I thought it was the same size, but it is actually smaller which I'm sure will be fine... I liked the idea that it had a cleaning function but it still requires manual draining -- but while our last machine has a drain in the side (with a screw-on cap and a rubber plug under it -- so two steps to get it open) this one is rather inconveniently placed on the underside of the machine! And the instructions don't actually explain how to get the plug out - nor that it is just one piece and as soon as it's out the contents will come splashing out! Since I had to clean the machine before using it - the experience was messier than I expected.
