Ukraine’s Crimea Prediction, Russia’s S-300 Missiles Hit Zaporizhzhia
Ukraine’s deputy defence minister, Volodymyr Havrylov, claims Kyiv’s forces could be in Crimea by the end of December. Ukraine's Andriy Yermak has said that peace is only possible when the country’s 1991 borders are restored. Ukraine’s President Zelensky had demanded Russia’s troops withdraw to the pre-February invasion borders. Local authorities said 40 Russian missiles damaged several high-rise building, homes and a power line in Nikopol on Nov. 19. Ukraine also said Russia shelled three border communities of Sumy region, launching 69 mortar mines and shells. The first passenger train to the Kherson city arrived from Kyiv for the first time since Russia occupied the region. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said there is a difficult situation with electricity supply in 17 regions. Ukraine’s biggest energy firm has requested the country’s citizens to leave to help save energy. The US claims that recent Russian missiles strikes were aimed at overwhelming and exhausting Ukraine’s supplies of air defences. UK PM Rishi Sunak announced that Britain will provide a £50m air defence package for Ukraine.
