Elena Jane Goulding (/ˈɡoʊldɪŋ/ gohl-ding; born 30 December 1986) [1] is an English singer-songwriter. Her career began when she met record producers Starsmith and Frankmusik and was found by Jamie Lillywhite, who later became her manager and A&R. After signing to Polydor Records in July 2009, Goulding released her first feature-length play, Introducing Ellie Goulding, later that year.[2] In 2010, she topped the BBC's annual poll 'Sound of...' and became the second artist to win the Critics' Choice Award at the Brit Awards that same year. Goulding released his debut studio album 'Light' in 2010. The album debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart, selling over 850,000 copies in the UK. In November 2010, the album was re-released as Bright Lights and spawned two singles. A cover of Elton John's "Your Song," which was featured in John Lewis' first Christmas commercial and reached No. 2 on the UK Singles Chart, and Golding's top Billboard Song. It is the recorded "rights".
