Indonesia rocked by earthquake, killing at least 56 people and leaving 700 injured
A shallow 5.6-magnitude earthquake shook Indonesia’s main island of Java on November 21, 2022, killing at least 56 people and injuring hundreds, local officials said. The quake, which damaged buildings and triggered a landslide, was centred in the Cianjur region of West Java, according to the United States Geological Survey.
