Beautiful swan swimming in the lake
Swans are large water birds from the genus Cygnus in the Anatidae family. Short-necked ducks and geese also occur in the family Anatidae. Geese and short-necked geese belong to the Anserinae subfamily, but the swans have their own tribe, the Cygnini tribe. There are seven species in the genus Cygnus. Swans are monogamous animals, 'divorce' sometimes occurs when the nesting process fails.
