Cute monkey

Monkey is a term for all members of the primates that are not prosimia ("pre-ape", such as lemurs and tarsiers) or apes, whether living in the Old World or the New World. Until now, there are 264 known species of monkeys that live in the world. Unlike apes, monkeys usually have a tail and are smaller in size. Monkeys are known to be able to learn and use tools to help them get food. The grouping of monkeys is paraphyletic, because Old World monkeys (Cercopithecoidea) are actually closer genetically related to apes (Hominidae), than New World monkeys (Platyrrhini).
