Proboscis monkey

One of the two species in the genus Nasalis is the proboscis monkey (scientific name: Nasalis larvatus), a long-nosed monkey with reddish-brown hair. On Borneo, Proboscis monkeys are endemic and can be found in coastal forests, mangroves, and wetlands. Only the male species of proboscis monkeys have the long, broad snout that sets them apart from other monkey species.
