The story takes place eight years after Givens left Kentucky. Now he lives in Miami where he balances his life as a US Marshal and part-time father of a 14-year-old girl. A chance encounter on a Florida highway sends him to Detroit and he crosses paths with Clement Mansell, aka The Oklahoma Wildman. Clement is a violent sociopath who has slipped through the fingers of Detroit's best before and now wants to do so again.
