churros
ngredients:
1 cup water
2 tablespoons white sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 quarts vegetable oil (for frying)
1/2 cup white sugar (for coating)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for coating)
Instructions:
In a medium saucepan, combine water, 2 tablespoons of sugar, salt, and 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the all-purpose flour until the mixture forms a smooth dough.
Heat the 2 quarts of vegetable oil in a large, deep skillet or pot to 375°F (190°C). Make sure the oil is enough for frying.
Transfer the dough into a piping bag fitted with a star tip nozzle.
Carefully pipe 4 to 6-inch strips of dough into the oil. Use scissors or a knife to cut the dough from the piping bag.
Fry the churros until they become golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Fry them in batches to avoid overcrowding the pot.
Once fried, remove the churros from the oil and drain the excess oil on a plate lined with paper towels.
In a separate bowl, mix 1/2 cup of white sugar and ground cinnamon for the coating.
While the churros are still warm, roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until they are evenly coated.
Serve the churros immediately and enjoy the delicious crispy treats!
