Ukraine Is Countering Russia's Bakhmut Assault Drones, M777 Howitzers, Excalibur Shells

The eastern Ukrainian town of Bakhmut has become a focal point of Russia's campaign in the Donbas region. Russia has intensified its assault on Donbas amid a string of losses in northeastern and southern Ukraine. However, the Ukrainian army stood up the 40th Artillery Brigade back in 2015 against Russia. Since February, the brigade added nearly 21 US-made M777 155-mm towed howitzers with quadcopters for reconnaissance.
