"Scream 5" serves as a continuation of the original series and brings back key cast members from previous films, including Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott, David Arquette as Dewey Riley, and Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers. The movie also features a new cast, including Jack Quaid, Melissa Barrera, and Jenna Ortega. The plot of "Scream 5" follows a new generation of characters who become targets of a mysterious killer wearing the iconic Ghostface mask. Sidney Prescott returns to confront the masked killer and protect the young generation from falling victim to the series of brutal murders. The film was directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett of the filmmaking group Radio Silence. Kevin Williamson returned as an executive producer, and the script was written by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick.
