P R E S S N O T E HELD TWO INTERSTATE GANJA TRANSPORTERS - SEIZED (22) KGs GANJA AND (1) CAR ALL WORTH OF RS.9 LAKHS On 05.08.2023, the sleuths of TSNAB along with Abdullapurmet Police, Rachakonda, on credible information apprehended (2) persons by name 1) Jalaluddin Siddiki Ahmed Husen Siddiki @ Jalaluddin Siddiki and 2) Jameel Akthar who were in possession of Narcotic Drug i.e. Ganja in the limits of Abdullapurmet PS. Seized (22) KGs Ganja, (1) TATA Nano Car B.No.AP29AK 9905 (Yellow colour) and (2) Mobile Phones, all worth Rs.9 Lakhs from their possession. Details of the Accused:- 1) Jalaluddin Siddiki Ahmed Husen Siddiki @ Jalaluddin Siddiki S/o Late Ahmed Husain Siddiki, age 45 yrs, Occ: Ganja supplier, R/o Pandharpur waluj (Vill & Tahsil), Aurangabad Dist, Maharashtra. 2) Jameel Akthar S/o Late Gulam Rabbani, age 63 yrs, Occ: Ganja supplier, R/o Pandharpur waluj (Vill & Tahsil), Aurangabad Dist, Maharashtra. Modus Operandi:- The accused Jalaluddin Siddiki Ahmed Husen Siddiki is native of Bihar. About twelve years back he along with his family members shifted to Pandharpur waluj (Vill & Tahsil), Aurangabad District, Maharashtra for livelihood. He joined in a private company and started working as labour for Rs.15,000/- per month. During this time one person by name Nayeem R/o Vaijapur, Maharashtra came into contact with him and informed that he is doing Ganja peddling in Sholapur and asked to arrange Ganja from Araku, Vishakapatnam, A.P. to Sholapur by road and also provided phone number of Ganja cultivator by name Paandu, N/o Rajahmundry, A.P. As such the accused Jalaluddin Siddiki Ahmed Husen Siddiki hatched a plan to purchase Ganja from Paandu and sell the same to Nayeem on higher price to earn easy money. The accused Jalaluddin Siddiki Ahmed Husen Siddiki informed the same to accused Jameel Akthar who is his sister’s father-in-law and asked to work with him on commission basis. For which the accused Jameel Akthar agreed. About two years back the accused Jalaluddin Siddiki Ahmed Husen Siddiki purchased one TATA Nano Car B.No.AP29AK 9905 (Yellow colour) for doing Ganja transporting. Both the accused persons used to go to Araku, Vishakapatnam, A.P., in his Car and purchase Ganja from Paandu for Rs.10,000/- per 1 KG and sell the same to Nayeem for Rs.20,000/- per 1 KG. Monthly twice the accused persons used to go to Rajahmundry for purchasing Ganja. Today i.e. on 05.08.2023 while the accused persons proceeding in Car by carrying Ganja from Abdullapurmet area, in the meantime on credible information the sleuth of TSNAB along with Abdullapurmet Police apprehended the accused persons along with (22) KGs Ganja. In this case the accused persons Paandu and Nayeem are at large. The accused persons along with seized material were handed over to SHO, Abdullapurmet PS, Rachakonda for further investigation. APPEAL TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC: In recent times we have seen several youth/students getting addicted to Drugs/Ganja, committing crime and involving in other anti-social activities. Several families have become victims of this menace. It is an ardent request from TSNAB, Hyderabad City Police to the youth/students not to fall prey to drugs/Ganja and request the parents to keep a watch on the activities of their children and feel free to approach Police or pass information to Police on Phone No.8712671111 to curtail such anti-social activities and strive for Drug free city. The above arrests were made under the supervision of Ms. D.Sunitha Reddy, SP (West) TSNAB by Sri P.Rajesh, Inspector of Police, TSNAB and staff of TS NAB along with Abdullapurmet Police.
