Over the past few decades, cameras went from being very much a professional device or a luxury item to being something most everyone has on them at all times. As such, cameras are filming more than ever before, and with our phones, body cams, CCTV—even cameras installed in our doorbells, fewer and fewer events escape being captured on video. It’s really one of history’s greatest inventions. Now we often don’t need to rely so strongly on hearsay to figure out what happened during a specific incident, because nothing tells a clearer story than raw footage. It’s a true blessing of human ingenuity.
