PR E S S N O T E HELD TWO INTERSTATE GANJA TRANSPORTERS - SEIZED (16) KGs GANJA AND (1) MOTOR CYCLE ALL WORTH OF RS.6.50 LAKHS On 08.08.2023, the sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone, on credible information apprehended (2) persons by name 1) Yarra Lava Raju and 2) Koppanathi Ajay Kumar who were in possession of Narcotic Drug i.e. Ganja in the limits of Langer House PS. Seized (16) KGs Ganja, (1) and Suziki Gixer SF Bike bearing No.AP39HA 4073 (Black Colour), all worth Rs.6.50 Lakhs from their possession. Details of the Accused:- 1) Yarra Lava Raju s/o. Yarra Ramana, aged bout: 18 years, Occ: Student, r/o. Gidajam Village, Rauthulapudi Mandal, East Godawari District, AP 2) Koppanathi Ajay Kumar S/o. K.Ranga Rao, Aged about: 25 Years, Occ: Lorry Driver, R/o H. No: 6-1, B.C. Colony, Geddanapalli, Kirlampudi (M), East Godavari, AP Modus Operandi:- The accused Y.Lava Raju is native of Gidajam (V), Rauthulapudi (M), East Godavari (D), A.P. He is pursuing Intermediate in Sri Gayathri Junior College, Tuni, A.P. His father is farmer and mother is household at his native place. Due to his poor family background, he intent to earn easy money. During this time both accused person hatched plan to purchase Ganja from Araku, Vishakapatnam, A.P. for cheap price and sell in Hyderabad City at higher price and earn good profits, accordingly Lava Raju met with is distant relative K. Ajay Kumar who is working as lorry driver and who was resided earlier in Hyderabad and informed the same to him and asked his help by offering money. For which the accused K. Ajay Kumar agreed. In the month of August 2023 the accused persons Y.Lava Raju and K. Ajay Kumar went to Araku, Vishakapatnam, A.P., and purchase (16) KGs Ganja from unknown persons for Rs.2500/- per 1 KG. On the next day both the accused persons started to Hyderabad by carrying (16) KGs Ganja on motor cycle bearing No AP39HA 4073 Suziki Gixer SF. After reaching, Near pillar No 109, Langer House, Hyderabad the accused persons Y.Lava Raju and K. Ajay Kumar were apprehended. On 08.08.2023 while the accused persons proceeding on motor cycle by carrying Ganja from Langer House area, in the meantime on credible information the sleuth of Commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone team apprehended the accused persons along with (16) KGs Ganja. In this case the accused persons Lava Raju and Ajay Kumar are at large. The accused persons along with seized material were handed over to SHO, Langer House PS, for further investigation. The above arrests were made under the supervision of Sri P.Radha Kishan Rao, Dy.Commissioner of Police, Commissioner’s Task Force by Sri Md. Khaleel Pasha, Inspector of Police, West Zone Task Force Team with the assistance of SI’s Sri Sheik Kaviuddin, Sri G.Naveen and the staff of West Zone team, Commissioner’s Task Force, Hyderabad City.
