Russia Shells Kherson 49 Times Weeks After Retreat
Russian forces struck Kherson city 49 times on November 24, killing 10 and injuring over 50 people. Russian forces also carried out a mass attack on apartment blocks and private houses in the city. This is one of the biggest attacks by Russian forces, weeks after the city was liberated by Ukraine. Russia has been shelling Kherson from across the river and civilian infrastructure and military sites have been at the receiving end. Russia is also upgrading its defensive positions in the region as it still controls 60% of Kherson oblast. Zelensky said he had been receiving reports of shelling in the Kherson region almost every hour.
