I don't see any men ever being asked! Watch video of Moroccan Football Captain being asked by BBC's reporter. Is it the dumbest question of the year? The BBC has apologised after its reporter asked the captain of Morocco’s women’s football team if there were gay players on her side. It prompted a backlash because same- relationships are illegal in the North African country, and many feared if the skipper outed a player, it could land them in jail back home. Ok, fair enough, but why feel the need to ask the question in the first place? This is sport, not politics. And for the record, there are 64 countries worldwide that outlaw same- relationships, so will the reporter ask this question every time one of them plays a match, or is it just reserved for the African teams?
