Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571 crashed in the Andes on October 13, 1972. The disaster killed 29 of the 45 passengers. Based on this incredible true incident, J.A. Bayona's 'Society of the Snow' will end the Venice Film Festival, take part in the Perlas section of the San Sebastian Film Festival, and will be available on Netflix soon.
