God of war III (2010)

Debuted on PlayStation 3 in 2010, begins with the war for Olympus. In the first few minutes, Kratos eliminates Poseidon, the god of the water, from the Greek pantheon. The death of Zeus' brother floods the plains surrounding Mount Olympus, and Kratos presses forward. Kratos murders nearly the entire pantheon in God of War 3, beginning with Hades and progressing through Hercules, Hermes, Hephaestus, Hera, and others. All of this devastation effectively destroys Greece, rendering it an inhospitable wasteland. Kratos completes his objective to destroy the Greek pantheon, killing Zeus and leaping over Mount Olympus, seemingly to his demise.
