Crispy Pork/Shrimp Wonton Balls
Ingredients:
- Dumpling wrapper (cut lengthwise)
Filling:
- 10 pcs shrimp/prawns
- 1/2 kg ground pork
- 1 inch grated ginger
- 6 cloves grated garlic
- 3 tbsp oyster sauce
- salt & pepper to taste
- 1 bunch garlic chives, chopped
- you can also add sesame oil/soy/shaoxing wine to make it taste even better!
Sweet chili sauce:
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 6 birds eye chili,
- 4 tbsp fish sauce
- 1/4 cup red pepper flakes
- 8 garlic cloves
Instructions:
- Combine all ingredients listed above for the dumpling filling. Mix well and set aside.
- Cut dumpling wrapper lengthwise and use the strands to coat the filling - shaping it into a ball.
- Deep fry at 165C for around 4-6 mins or until crispy and golden.
- To make sweet chili sauce, chop garlic and chili w food processor (u can also do it by hand) add into saucepan with vinegar, fish sauce, water and sugar. bring to a simmer and add in cornstarch slurry to thicken.
- Serve your crispy shrimp & pork balls with sweet chili sauce and enjoy!
