Typhoon Koinu hits Taiwan bringing travel chaos

Typhoon Koinu has made landfall in Taiwan, bringing record-breaking gusts at more than 340km/h (210mph). More than 100 flights have been cancelled and many schools and workplaces have shut. Major disruption from strong winds, torrential rain and storm surges are expected for parts of Taiwan, China and Hong Kong over the coming days.
