Will Gaza Cost Biden The Presidency

Arab and Muslim voters are abandoning U.S. President Joe Biden over his response to Gaza. Voters in Dearborn, Michigan — home to the largest Arab American population in the U.S. — are saying they won’t vote for Biden in 2024, even if he’s running against Trump. There were nearly 1.1 million Muslim voters in the 2020 election, including 145,000 Muslim voters in Michigan. Surveys estimated that two-thirds of Muslim voters cast their ballots for Biden in 2020. But if those voters switch or stay home, Biden could lose the crucial swing state of Michigan, and possibly the presidency. Dr. Emad Shehada has lost 20 of his family members in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza. He says Muslim and Arab voters “will not forgive [Biden] for this when November comes next year. We will not forget.”
