Imran Khan is a Pakistani politician, former international cricketer, and the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Born on October 5, 1952, in Lahore, Pakistan, Khan gained global fame as a cricket player before entering politics. Imran Khan played cricket for the Pakistan national team and captained them to their first-ever World Cup victory in 1992. After retiring from cricket, he turned to politics and founded the political party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in 1996. Imran Khan became the Prime Minister of Pakistan in August 2018, following the general elections. His political agenda has focused on anti-corruption efforts, economic reforms, and social welfare.
